Soon this land near Cedar Hill Road will be a subdivision. I wonder how much of it was once cared for by the family in this house, with the Harpeth River just across a road that must have turned to mud after a long rain, and the forest always pressing in. How many generations have been forgotten here? This is the first time I photographed it, from the field behind the trees.
