Infrared 005, Burnt
Infrared 005, Burnt
A wide field scattered with bare trees, the ground drawn into long sweeping lines and the light burning along the horizon. An infrared Spacetime Painting from Upper Canada, made in the Niagara region of Ontario on black-and-white infrared film from a moving car, before 2004. Infrared film turns living leaves and grass bright and the sky dark, so the trees become fine white lines drawn by the movement of the camera.
