A dark ridge in low light with a single small tree on the horizon, the land reduced to a few long strokes. An infrared Spacetime Painting from Upper Canada, made in the Niagara region of Ontario on black-and-white infrared film from a moving car, before 2004. Infrared film turns living leaves and grass bright and the sky dark, so the trees become fine white lines drawn by the movement of the camera.
